Young M.A Releases 'Queen & Slim' Inspired "My Hitta' Music Video
Recreating key moments from the film.
Following the release of her eagerly-awaited debut album, Young M.A has returns with visuals for her new single “My Hitta.” The video takes major inspiration from Melina Matsoukas and Lena Waithe‘s film Queen & Slim, lifting key moments from the movie and reenacting them for the visuals.
The Marc Diamond-directed video above begins with a traffic stop that leads Young M.A to kill an officer in self-defense. We then see her and her girlfriend on the lam, with the couple’s evening festivities coming to a tense standoff when the feds arrive.
