Louis Vuitton's Mens SS20 Pre-Collection Includes Transparent Kicks & Colorblocked Pieces
Raphael paintings were also used as graphics for products.

During Paris Fashion Week this past month, Virgil Abloh and Louis Vuitton presented the luxury house’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection on the runway. Upon closer look at the special showroom during PFW, we got to see the many awe-inspiring pieces that made it on the catwalk – new color variations of the 504 sneakers, an outlandish flower-designed keepall, monogrammed kites, multi-pocket vests and other brightly-hued jewelry and accessories.
Now, at a recent showroom preview in NYC, HYPEBEAST received a special look of the upcoming SS20 Pre-Collection, slated to release before the main seasonal offerings. Highlights from the collective are the transparent 504 sneakers in both high and low-top editions. The pair was appropriately complemented by the transparent accessories in the form of a tote, keepall and mini trunk bag. Elsewhere, a collection of colorblocked items put forth the range’s more artful inspiration — this included bags, keychains, belts, and even sunglasses.
More art-driven pieces were also at hand and a colorful coat depicted a classical work done by the painter Raphael. The same motif can also be seen on a vest and bomber as well as a shirt. The striking details of the painting can really be seen here with the fabric texture giving it a bit more dimension. For fans of the signature monogram, you’ll be happy to see the return of the familiar pattern on many accessories and bags as well.
Last but not least, as an homage to the staff who make this all happen at LV, Abloh created a grey paint-by-numbers-inspired sweatshirt depicting the silhouettes of the employees. On the back is the numbered names of the team that help create LV’s seasonal collections.
