NYC-based label GREI has developed its own flavor of thoughtful menswear for the past several years, with Spring/Summer 2020 delivering another relaxed range of elevated staples. Dubbed “Second Place,” the new collection takes cues from trad clothing, without sacrificing the diverse global influences that fuel GREI’s past offerings.
Bold plaids and versatile neutral tones inform the slouchy outerwear, which ranges from cropped drizzler jackets to loose ponchoes, anchored by a bevy of effortless drawstring trousers. A variety of striped shirts reinforce the collegiate motif, while boxy hoodies and printed tees lend the looks a sense of laid-back ease that undermines any sense of stiff formality. Similarly, color-blocked mesh tank tops and hunting-style vests grant the a sporty feel to the looks, reinforced by sleek textiles utilized for the trench coats and convertible bags.
Expect the new goods to hit GREI’s web store and stockists early next year.
Elsewhere in New York, Engineered Garments delivered its own SS20 lookbook, packed with rich florals.
