Atlético Madrid's 2019/20 Away Kit Celebrates the Club’s Meteoric Rise
Stealthy black with hits of red.
With the upcoming 2019/20 La Liga season set to kick off in mid-August, Nike has revealed what Spanish giants Atlético Madrid will be wearing during their away games.
The black kit features contrasting red details, to signify the club’s brilliant resurgence in the past decade, around the sleeves, which then also dresses the Nike Swoosh insignia featured on the right chest, the club’s celebrated badge on the left, and finally the sponsorship branding. Additionally a hit of red appears on the inside of the collar along with the Spanish flag.
The rest of the kit, including the shorts and socks, will also be dressed in black and feature the same red detailing. The word “Atlético” has also been emblazoned on the midway point of the shin.
“Atlético have this really inspiring never-say-die attitude,” says Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director. “They always fight back when faced with a challenge, and this kit pays tribute to the determination which has helped transform them into the elite club we see today.”
