New 'Space Jam 2' Casting Rumors Include Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard & WNBA Stars
Following talk of Klay Thompson joining the cast.
More Space Jam 2 casting rumors are circulating the internet, this time involving a number of players from the NBA and WNBA. According to sources, Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard and WNBA’s Diana Taurasi and Nneka Ogwumike have landed key roles in the LeBron James-helmed sequel. The rumors follow talk of Klay Thompson’s commitment to the film, with the announcement expected to be made soon since the 2019 NBA Finals are over.
James and the rest of the production crew are reportedly facing major casting hurdles. Earlier in April, Milwaukee Bucks PF Giannis Antetokounmpo revealed that he declined an invitation to star in the film. No other players have been confirmed so stay tuned for updates.
Space Jam 2 hits theaters July 16, 2021.
