Tissot’s PRX Skeleton Damian Lillard Edition Is Built Around “Dame Time”
The special edition pairs an openworked dial with Lillard-inspired details, interchangeable straps and a pocket-watch conversion set.
Tissot is taking its ongoing partnership with Damian Lillard into more experimental territory with the PRX Skeleton Damian Lillard Special Edition, a 44mm mechanical interpretation of the integrated-sports-watch line developed closely with the NBA star. Lillard has served as a Tissot ambassador since 2021, and this latest project moves beyond simple signature branding by drawing directly from his upbringing and “Dame Time” philosophy of preparation, discipline and perseverance.
The familiar PRX silhouette is rendered in stainless steel with deep lateral engravings, while an openworked dial exposes the movement beneath. Burgundy runs across the dial and straps, contrasted by silver-toned architecture and gold-colored mechanical elements, while a seconds hand shaped around Lillard’s monogram and his signature across the transparent caseback add the most immediate personal references.
Beating at its heart is a manual-winding Swiss skeleton movement, shifting the PRX away from the automatic movements more commonly associated with the collection and placing greater emphasis on the mechanics themselves. Lillard’s story continues through the accessories: the burgundy rubber strap carries a geometric “milk-crate” pattern referencing the makeshift basketball hoops of his childhood, while a second burgundy leather strap is designed to develop its own patina over time. Both use a quick-release system, but the most unconventional addition is a dedicated leather conversion set that allows the watch head to be removed from its strap and worn as a pocket watch, extending the collaboration beyond the PRX’s usual wristwatch format.
The release also arrives as part of a wider homecoming narrative for Lillard. Tissot previouslt previewed the project during the Portland Trail Blazers’ Fan Fest before officially launching the special-edition timepiece in time for Portland’s season opener against the Phoenix Suns.
