PUMA has scavenged through its rich catalog of archive silhouettes to bring back a vintage sneaker paletted in two monochromatic colorways – the Basket 68 Mid.
Released in 1968, the silhouette has been reworked with updated materials while retaining the retro characteristics of the original models. The uppers are topped with a thick ankle cushion lined with soft cotton. Suede fabrics run along the eyelets that come with tonal flat laces. A “PUMA” patch logo is sewn onto the tongue, complemented by more branding on the sidewalls trimmed in gold. Sitting just below is the footwear label’s signature side stripe that loops over the heel stay.
