Cat Power Announces Headlining Tour & Drops Intimate Visual for "Horizon"
Following the artist’s first album release in nearly six years.
Indie rock singer-songwriter Charlyn Marie “Chan” Marshall, more appropriately known as Cat Power, returned to stardom last year with her broodingly smoky vocals and haunting songwriting with her album Wanderer – her first full project in nearly six years. Since returning, she has poured her energy into her craft like never before, recently opening an arena tour for Mumford & Sons, and more. Today, she’s bolstered her energy by announcing that she’s embarking on a headlining North America tour, commemorating the news with a beautifully cinematic visual for “Horizon.”
The new video sees Chan Marshall taking a reflective path, staring into the distance on-screen while playing her heart out on an acoustic guitar. The video, directed by frequent collaborator Greg Hunt, showcases an immense sense of intimacy, featuring Marshall’s close friends and family such as pro-skater Sean Pablo, model Tess Sahara, and actress-meets-artist Lucia Ribisi.
