Nintendo to Launch 'Donkey Kong Jr.' on Switch Online Subscription Service
Another throwback to the NES era.
Nintendo has announced that it will be adding Donkey Kong Jr. to its subscription-based Switch Online service.
Donkey Kong Jr. will be joined by VS. Excitebike and Clu Clu Land in the upcoming release, adding to Nintendo’s Switch Online lineup of titles from the NES and SNES eras such as Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3, Donkey Kong and The Legend of Zelda. Donkey Kong Jr. adds another an arcade platform-styled game to its roster of 40-plus subscription service games, which is offered to Switch users from approximately $4 USD a month.
The sequel to the original Donkey Kong game sees players take on challenges as Junior Kong in its original NES format. As per the Donkey Kong series, tasks you will face include helping OG Kong escape from his enemy, Mario, as the iconic Italian character kidnaps and cages him.
The aforementioned VS. Excitebike is a motocross game, whereas Clu Clu Land sees players direct a balloonfish through a water maze on the hunt for golden ingots. All three titles will hit Nintendo Switch Online on 15 May.
