Nike Air Force 1 PRM "Red Bark" Presents Luxurious Look
Combining autumnal colors with reptilian materials.
2019 has been a year of artisanal experimentations for Nike‘s ever-popular Air Force 1, and the latest finely-crafted style to appear is a luxurious “Red Bark.” Mixing an earthy, autumnal color palatte with sublime, serpentine materials, the “Red Bark” presents a look that’s at once premium and rugged. Moreover, it’s a more-than-suitable follow-up to the “Snakeskin” pair that released in November, October’s “No Cover” style crafted by Olivia Kim and the classic “Ivory Snake” that was revitalized in May.
Combining brown and red tones, the scaled leather upper also provides a mix of materials. Quarter panels and toeboxes are coated in a smooth brown snakeskin, while the clay red mudguards, heel counters and eyestays play up the reptilian stylings further. This is accomplished by way of a more visceral snakeskin print with a bold texture that seems to pop off the upper.
Nylon tongues are dressed in brown, while sail Swooshes, laces and heel tabs provide a light contrast. Besides the sail Swoosh, the majority of the branding is presented in a bright red, with pops of the vibrant hue appearing on the heel, tongue and midsole’s embellishments. The remainder of the midsole is dressed in a stark sail, and a black outsole finalizes the look.
The Nike Air Force 1 PRM “Red Bark” will release this December at retailers like Noir Fonce later this month for €130 (approximately $145 USD).
