New Balance ML850 Gets Tropical With Warm Color Scheme
Ready for a vacation.
It may be winter, but New Balance‘s ML850 is looking to warmer days ahead with a vacation-ready “White/Green/Pink” colorway. Continuing the heritage ’90s silhouette’s revival, this style takes on a much more playful look than its somewhat serious in-line and collaborative No Vacancy Inn counterparts. This harkens back to the signature warm pastel hues of the era it first released in.
Uppers feature a three-layer design, with a pink mesh serving as the base, sizeable swaths of black nubuck appearing over top and a cut-out teal mudguard providing the foremost tier. Of course, there’s accents aplenty to be had as well. Yellow-gold appears on the sockliner and two of the lace loops, with crisp white leather hitting the eyestays and toebox. Finally, pink and gold branded accents are present on both the tongue and heel. Shaped white midsoles and mauve outsoles complete the look.
The New Balance ML850 “White/Green/Pink” will release at retailers like Sneakersnstuff one day after Christmas, December 26, for $120 USD.
Elsewhere in the ever-expanding world of retro runners, the storied New Balance 996 has been reworked in sleek monochromatic leather, and the New Balance 997H has taken on a new “Lemon Slush” colorway, complete with rugged Cordura fabric.
