'Fortnite' Celebrates the Holiday Season With New 'Winterfest' Event
Offering players free cosmetics, unvaulted weapons, and a new set of challenges.
Epic Games has relaunched last year’s 14 Days of Fortnite into a new “Winterfest” event for the holiday season. The Fortnite event offers players free cosmetics, unvaulted weapons, and a new set of challenges.
Beginning yesterday and lasting for the next 13 days, new presents will be available to unwrap each day, with each offering skins, gliders, pickaxes, emotes, and more. There will also be refreshed challenges every day with more loot than before offered as rewards. The newly introduced Winterfest Cabin is where several challenges would send players. In the lobby menu, players may click the snowflake next to the Play option to head there and unwrap presents once a day. Here is a full list of the challenges:
Search Holiday Stockings in the Winterfest Cabin
Stoke a Campfire
5 Eliminations with an Unvaulted Weapon
Hide inside a Sneaky Snowman in 2 different matches
Warm yourself by the fireplace in the Winterfest Cabin
Dance at Holiday trees in 5 different Named Locations
Search a chest within 60 seconds after landing from the Battle Bus
Use 2 Presents!
Open Frozen Loot
Deal damage to an opponent with a Lump of Coal
Destroy a Sneaky Snowman with a Lightsaber or Pickax
Search 2 Ice Boxes
Light a Frozen Firework found on beaches in Sweaty Sands, Craggy Cliffs or Dirty Docks

All gifts will be available until January 7, and unvaulted weapons and limited-time modes will be available from December 18 to January 2.
