maharishi Celebrates Winter Solstice With Graphic-Driven Holiday Capsule
Featuring prints of reindeer herders, shamans and agaric mushrooms.

After dropping its seasonal DPM “CHACRUNA FOREST STRIPE,” Hardy Blechman’s UK-based label maharishi has returned with a new Holiday 2019 capsule that celebrates the coming Winter Solstice. In line with maharishi’s design ethos, featured garments have been emblazoned with a series of graphics that pay tribute to cultural motifs, this time reflecting ancient folklore that reference things like reindeer herders, shamans and agaric mushrooms during the Winter Solstice — the label’s signature artwork like embroidered dragons also appear in the range.
The assemblage spans graphic T-shirts and long-sleeves, mil-spec-inspired organic cotton snow pants and a printed bandana. One noteworthy piece is the Original Snopants that come in black and olive. The pants come with an elastic drawcord construction — the Snocord System, which makes both the waist and hem fully adjustable – complemented by flap pockets. At the back of the right calf is an embroidered dragon wrapping around bright red agaric mushrooms. Another highlighted piece is a T-shirt with a graphic of a sitting reindeer that has the head of a mushroom. The piece also comes in black and white, finished off with the word “SOMAHARISHI” placed below the imagery. Other garments like T-shirts, long-sleeves and the bandana round up the concise capsule.
The maharishi Holiday 2019 “Winter Solstice” capsule will be available on December 6, 11 a.m. EST at maharishistore.com as well as its London and New York stores.
