Balenciaga Track.2 Drops In Sporty Black, Red and Grey
An athletically-inclined colorway for the layered trainer.
After presenting a Joker-like “White/Pink/Green” colorway of the Track.2, Balenciaga has released a sporty “Black/Red/Grey” iteration of its popular trainer. The chunky, heavily layered look is mostly dressed in smoky grey and stark black, but there’s vibrant hits of red to be had as well, mainly appearing on the shoe’s top, forefoot and bottom.
A medley of leathers, rubbers and synthetics further accent the layered look, with details ranging from a sleek patent on the midfoot to a pebbled grey cage that wraps around the heel and connects with the laces. Balenciaga branding is dispersed throughout as well; wordmark logos are embossed on the lateral collar and debossed on the heel, while a red Track.2 hit is stamped proudly on the tongue and a double-B detail is present on the toe cap. Finishing style touches are provided by soft grey around the heel and a healthy dose of chromed-out accents on the midfoot/midsole. Red rubber outsoles with one final logo complete the look.
The Balenciaga Track.2 “Black/Red/Grey” is available now via Balenciaga’s website for $895 USD.
Although silhouettes like the Track.2 and Triple-S are enjoying enduring popularity, the Demma Gvasalia-helmed brand certainly isn’t resting on its laurels, as it recently presented a brand-new Tyrex silhouette that’s inspired by human anatomy.
