Bomber Ski & Bentley Motors Unveil Skis With 24-Karat Gold Inserts
Priced at $3,750 USD.
Bentley Motors has joined with Bomber Ski for a pair of luxurious skis in celebration of Bentley’s historic 100-year anniversary.
Arriving in the form of the Centenary Edtion 84 and the Black Diamond 84 skis, the former sees 24-karat, gold-plated diamond-shaped inserts, and patterns that mimic the motifs found on Bentley’s EXP 100 GT concept car. The Black Diamond 84 is similar to the Centenary Edtion minus the 24-karat gold diamonds; the gold material has been replaced by six 3D diamonds in a gloss black finish.
Each ski is handmade in Biella, Italy, and uses wood and fibers that are covered by two layers of Titanal — a process which takes 32 hours. The ski was designed by Bentley’s lead designer, Chris Cooke, alongside the Bomber teams in New York and Italy over a course of 18 months, and tested rigorously by Bomber Ski co-owner and former Olympic ski racer, Bode Miller.
Limited to 100 pairs for the Centenary Edtion 84 and 200 pairs for the Black Diamond 84, both versions are available on bomberski.com now for $3,750 USD and $2,750 USD, respectively.
