Nigel Cabourn & Closed to Present Navy-Inspired FW20 Collection at Pitti Immagine Uomo 97

Last month, British fashion designer Nigel Cabourn joined Italian watchmaker Unimatic for a timepiece that paid homage to the spirit of exploration. The legendary designer is now bringing his vintage army aesthetic to German fashion brand Closed’s Fall/Winter 2020 capsule collection. Set to be presented at Pitti Immagine Uomo 97 in January 2020, the navy-inspired styles for men and women blend Closed’s casual silhouettes and denim heritage with Cabourn’s signature military-inspired looks.

From striped knits and casual sweats to overalls and functional outerwear, the capsule features a variety of utilitarian details with influences of maritime workwear. Men’s apparel boasts functional and relaxed silhouettes, while women’s styles contrast masculine elements with feminine detailing. Highlights of the capsule include jackets with multi-colored textural panels, loose-fitting trousers and an all-over black jumpsuit. Closed and Nigel Cabourn will preview this range of seasonal apparel at Pitti Immagine Uomo, which, for the past 37 years, has been a premier space to showcase men’s fashion.

Closed will present the FW20 collection throughout the month of January in Pitti, Paris, Düsseldorf and Copenhagen. Starting August 2020, the entire collection will be available to purchase on closed.com, at select CLOSE shops and at Nigel Cabourn’s flagship store in London.
