Mozzy Debuts a Reflective New Single & Visual, "I'll Never Tell Em Sh*t"
Mozzy’s hot streak continues.
Nearly six months divorced from the release of his most recent studio album, Internal Affairs, Mozzy is continuing to crank out new records and tease his next major release. Directly following the debut of his “3 Deep” collaboration with fellow northern California representative Berner, the Sacramento-bred street-rap champion is back with another new single and visual; this time around, Mozzy is linking up with director Bryan Berry for the official music video in support of a record dubbed “I’ll Never Tell Em Shit.” With lyrics about fractured friendships and recollections of past street conflicts, “I’ll Never Tell Em Shit” is Mozzy as his sharpest and most effective.
“I just got my head down, and I’m working. I don’t see nothing else going on. I don’t see status. I don’t see standards. I don’t see nothing. All I see is work, work, work,” Mozzy shared with Okayplayer during a 2018 interview. “I ain’t going to lie, I feel like I’m the dopest gangsta rapper right now in this present moment. I don’t feel there’s one gangsta rapper out there that could f*ck with me, as far as wordplay. I’m not talking about album sales. I’m talking about craft. I’m talking about cook-up.”
