Recent rumors of Apple gearing up to introduce an all-new MacBook Pro 16-inch have been confirmed. The tech giant has officially unveiled the latest game-changer in its lauded lineup of personal computers via a short video.

The new MacBook is by far the most powerful notebook the company has ever made and features an immersive 16-inch Retina display, superfast processors, next-generation graphic, along with better battery capacity, a new Magic Keyboard, and more massive storage. The 16-inch Retina display will replace the current 15-inch option, and marks the the largest Retina display ever in a Mac notebook. The screen can produce “500 nits of brightness for spectacular highlights and bright whites, while delivering deep blacks thanks to the precise photo alignment of liquid crystal molecules,” states Apple.

In terms of specs, the device houses the Intel Core i9 processor, with up to 8 cores and 16 threads of processing power, and delivers up to 2.1 times the performance of a quad-core MacBook Pro. Additionally the 16-inch MacBook Pro uses fast 2666MHz DDR4 memory and can store up to 64GB of DDR4 memory. The AMD Radeon Pro 5000M series also delivers powerful graphics and provides faster execution times when doing tasks compared to the previous-generation base model.

Over on the new Magic Keyboard, a refined scissor mechanism provides a quiet typing experience, while the Touch Bar allows users to place shortcuts right in front of them. The laptop also comes equipped with a six-speaker sound system, dual force-cancelling woofers, and studio-quality mic. Finally the 16-inch MacBook Pro has up to 8TB of SSD storage, provides up to 11 hours of battery life, and is equipped with the Apple T2 Security Chip and Thunderbolt 3.

For more information on the MacBook Pro 16-Inch, head over to Apple’s website where you can also pre-order the device starting at $2,399 USD.
