Norse Projects & adidas Consortium Create Torsion TRDC for All Seasons
Inspired by the brand’s Copenhagen origin.
Norse Projects has reunited with adidas Consortium for a take on the Torsion TRDC inspired by the brand’s Scandinavian roots. The collaboration — the first since 2017’s “Layers” capsule — is designed according to Norse’s long-running “created for life — good for all seasons” slogan, which informs the materials and colorway.
Constructed from a range of synthetic materials, each fabric has been designed to make the sneaker lighter and more agile. The sneaker features a grey upper as a nod to Copenhagen’s city center, while the gradient sole is to imitate fog and low visibility. This muted design is then offset touches of neon yellow, described by Norse Projects as representing “a physical presence in a low visibility environment.”
Take a look at the Fall/Winter 2019 collaboration from Norse Projects and adidas Consortium in the gallery above, and expect the sneakers to hit the brand’s Copenhagen store and web store on October 11.
