BROCKHAMPTON Delivers Kevin Abstract-Directed Video for "San Marcos"
A group hug in Australia.
Last week, BROCKHAMPTON released their anticipated new studio album Iridescence. Keeping the momentum going, the group swiftly resurfaces with a new visual for “San Marcos,” one of the 15-song tracklist’s standouts.
BROCKHAMPTON’s very own Kevin Abstract directed the 5-minute video, which shows close-ups of the many band members walking down the street, singing and rapping until they all meet in a massive group hug. The straightforward clip was filmed in Melbourne, Australia, and comes to us a week after the unveiling of the psychedelic vignette for “J’Ouvert.”
“Big old whiskey on them icy rocks / Flood down some veins like oxy does,” Matt Champion raps at the beginning. “I need fresh air, I need oxygen / Who the hell you foolin’? It’s so obvious / I don’t feel it, I don’t see it, this is blasphemy / I can’t help but feel like you is after me / Is you drinking for the pain? Is you drinking for fun?”
