Junya Watanabe Remixes Vintage The North Face Graphics for FW18 Outerwear
Another selection of revised jackets.
Having already introduced the season’s backpack jacket and transformable sleeping bag coat, Junya Watanabe & The North Face reveal the final selection of collaborative gear for Fall/Winter 2018. The final drop consists of a Heritage jacket and Park Climb goods, the latter sourcing graphics directly from a van that The North Face used as a shuttle in the 1970s. Consisting of two tees and parkas, the Park Climb gear is executed in monochrome black and white, with minimal external detailing to place the emphasis on the oversized graphics. Meanwhile, the Heritage jacket recalls a reformatted trucker jacket, with angled pockets, snap button closure and corduroy paneling at the collar, keeping in line with Watanabe’s preferred workwear aesthetic.
The full range of Junya Watanabe x The North Face Fall/Winter 2018 gear will soon be fully available worldwide, with the first American drop recently hitting the outdoor expert’s 5th Avenue flagship.
Most recently, Notre showcased the collaborative layering pieces in its latest Fall/Winter 2018 editorial.
