Following up on the designer’s collaborative backpack-infused outerwear, Junya Watanabe reunites with The North Face for an outerwear set crafted from the Dolomite sleeping bag. A jacket and coat cleverly revamp the quilting construction into warm layering pieces, repurposing the yellow outer and grey inner from the sleeping bag into a bi-color makeup. Plenty of zippers, pockets, buttons and pull tabs ensure maximum functionality, but the main feature the items’ transformable capabilities: by inverting the coat or jacket, they can be folded neatly into an included bag, which can be stowed inside a hidden inner compartment when not in use.
The collaborative Dolomite layers can be purchased at select Junya Watanabe or The North Face stockists on August 3.
@hypebeaststyle: @junyawatanabeofficial and @thenorthface’s latest release updates the DOLOMITE sleeping bag into two outerwear jackets. The new pieces arrive in a grey/orange colorway and are equipped multiple pockets both outside and inside the coats. The collaborative jacket will begin hitting retailers on August 3.
