Marvel Movies Are Leaving Netflix and Going to Disney's Streaming Service
It was bound to happen.
Disney has been gearing up to release its own streaming service which is set to feature big budget Star Wars content. As such, many Disney titles will migrate from Netflix to the new entertainment platform, including all Marvel movies. Although much about Disney’s upcoming streaming service is known, such as its subscription cost or when it’ll launch, it’s been expected that the MCU movies would move from Netflix at some point.
The first film that is slated to debut on Disney’s service will be Captain Marvel after it arrives in theaters next year in March, leading into the climatic Avengers 4. This follows Disney’s recent $71.3 million USD deal with 20th Century Fox on acquiring all its assets by next year.
In related news, Disney’s live-action Star Wars TV series could cost $100 Million USD.
