Awake NY Mid-Summer 2018 Tees Invoke Poetry, Goldfish, and Nas Lyrics
A strong selection for the remaining heat.
Following the May arrival of Awake NY’s SS18 collection, the Angelo Baque-led brand returns with a full range of culturally-minded items for a new Mid-Summer lineup.
Notably, Awake NY’s Mid-Summer 2018 collection is made up of five unique t-shirt designs and a couple artful accessories. Specifically, the label mines a variety of artistic and social influences for its latest tees; lyrics from Nas‘s scathing 2001 diss-record “Ether,” Gil Scott-Heron and the Pan-African flag are all referenced for the graphic motifs and details. For colorways, consumers can expect a mix of white, pastel, black, orange and blue tones. Awake NY also brought the collection to life with a striking lookbook.
You can take a look at Awake NY’s Mid-Summer 2018 collection above, and expect the drop to hit Awake NY’s official website and select retailers tomorrow, August 8 at 12 p.m. EST.
