Drake Might Launch a TV Show Inspired by His Song "God's Plan"
The ‘Scorpion’ hit could get its own spin-off.
Following his appearance on Travis Scott’s ASTROWORLD track “Sicko Mode,” it looks like Drake might be getting into another entertainment format: television.
As TMZ reports, the “In My Feelings” artist is looking to file a trademark for the phrase “God’s Plan,” intending to utilize it for various merchandise items, promotional efforts, marketing endeavors and a television show. While details concerning the TV series’ specifics are currently unknown, it’s reportedly a game show. Considering Drake’s latest successes and his past work with TV programs, a “God’s Plan”-inspired game show has some serious potential.
Since its release as one of Scorpion‘s lead singles, “God’s Plan” has earned its creator platinum plaques and yet another No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Jimmy Kimmel and his late-night crew even poked fun at the song’s viral music video with a popular Jimmy Kimmel Live! parody.
