Nearly 3 billion total views.
Wiz Khalifa‘s emotionally charged anthem, “See You Again,” featuring Charlie Puth is now the most watched video on YouTube. The song, which belongs to the Furious 7 soundtrack, recently overtook PSY’s “Gangnam Style“ for the top spot on the video sharing platform. “Gangnam Style” currently has 2,894,635,846 views, while “See You Again” has 2,896,029,111 — nearly a 1.5 million view difference.
After debuting on YouTube in April 2012, “Gangnam Style” was lauded in the U.S. for its infectious dance and energetic beat. Within a few months, the K-pop hit had become the most watched video on YouTube, breaking a Guinness World Record while surpassing Justin Bieber‘s “Baby” — it was a viral smash. “See You Again” was less of a crossover sensation. Uploaded in April 2015, Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” struck a chord with listeners who enjoyed the Fast and Furious franchise, and those still grieving over the death of one of the movie’s main characters, Paul Walker.
