Rockstar Games has officially announced a partnership with Netflix to premiere Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on August 27, 2026. The collaboration marks a first-of-its-kind broadcast event to showcase the next evolution in the long-running franchise.
The extended preview is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on Thursday, August 27 at 3 p.m. ET, followed by a release on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and website at 9 p.m. ET. In development for 13 years, the launch version of the title delivers a single-player narrative set in Vice City across the fictional state of Leonida. The storyline follows dual protagonists Jason and Lucia as they navigate a dangerous conspiracy after an easy score goes wrong.
Pre-orders for the title originally opened in June, offering a standard edition for $79.99 USD across digital and physical boxed versions. Additionally, an ultimate edition is available for $99.99 USD, which includes a curated collection of exclusive in-game vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action content threaded throughout the game.
