‘Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway – The Sorcery of Nymph Circe’ Hits Netflix Later This Month

Following its major theatrical run earlier this year, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe is officially heading to streaming, arriving globally on Netflix at the end of this month.
Adapted from legendary creator Yoshiyuki Tomino’s three-volume novel series Hathaway’s Flash, the feature serves as the second installment in Sunrise‘s planned anime film trilogy, picking up twelve years after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack. The story follows Hathaway Noa – son of Earth Federation captain Bright Noa – who operates under the alias “Mafty Navue Erin” to lead a rogue insurgent movement against the rampant corruption of the Earth Federation government.
The film first premiered in Japanese theaters back in January, before launching in select regions in Asia in early spring and landing in North American cinemas in May, 2026. Outgrossing its 2021 predecessor by earning over ¥2.5 billion JPY ($15.7 million USD) in Japan alone, the sequel has earned widespread acclaim for its continued high-stakes political intrigue, deep character study, fluid 2D and 3D visual effects and an even more heightened execution of mech combat.
