Lil Yachty Is Going to Start Paying People's Tuition
“It’s time to give back.”

With Stormzy and Nicki Minaj having both already made contributions to the student fees of their fans, 2017 is fast becoming the year that social media philanthropy took hold of the rap game. Never one to be out done — other than where first week sales are concerned, that is — Lil Yachty is now getting in on the charitable action too. Announcing on Twitter yesterday that he’d “pay some tuitions this year,” the series of tweets sent were captioned with the hashtag #sailingscholars and signed off with “i love u students.” Following up, and with specific details still yet to come, Lil Boat also explained that — even where he can’t help out with the tuition fees — he’s still keen to get involved and “take a few lucky family’s back 2 school shopping.”
In the mean time — and for a little extra insight in to Yachty’s world — check out these behind-the-scenes shots from his first official tour.
Also, I wanna take a few lucky family's back 2 school shopping. All information will be on my site. It's time to give back. #sailingscholars
