J.R. Smith Flaunts the Virgil Abloh x Nike Zoom Fly Mercurial Flyknit in Black
Part of the Cav superstar’s rotation.
After receiving a first look at the Virgil Abloh x Nike Zoom Fly Mercurial Flyknit earlier this month in a 2018 FIFA World Cup-themed colorway (followed by a silhouette revealed by Arthur Kar), basketball icon J.R. Smith has just taken to his personal Instagram account to flaunt the stealthy black pair.
In the photos posted below, we can see the shoe uses the same streamlined body of the Mercurial line, which then sits atop a REACT FOAM base with a rainbow-gradient streak. Signature Off-White™ detailing appears on the medial sides while a “FOAM” motif hits the lateral midsole. The bold look is then finished off with white Swooshes and polka dots on the outer side, while bright blue polka dots take the inner.
