After celebrating the release of new AM4 colorways with a SPEEDFACTORY Lab Experience in New York City, adidas has revealed its latest AM4 entry: the AM4LA.

The first SPEEDFACTORY-constructed design to utilize Parley Ocean Plastic, the shoe features a 100% recycled upper and pairs the construction with the beloved BOOST midsole and a Continental rubber outsole. And, like the AM4NYC before it, the AM4LA sports digitally-mapped tension patches throughout its Primeknit upper in order to deliver a more precise, dynamic fit.

Said, Ben Herath, VP Design for adidas Running:

The AM4LA shoe demonstrates the potential and flexibility of adidas SPEEDFACTORY to evolve and integrate new materials and technology that deliver progress towards solutions to current and new challenges

With AM4LA, we set out to reexamine and change our traditional ways of design and production. We want to make sure that we not only deliver the best for our athlete, but also do what is best for our planet. By leveraging SPEEDFACTORY’s digital production capabilities, integrating Parley Ocean Plastic into it, and pushing our designers’ creative boundaries, we have successfully created a high performance running shoe while simultaneously reducing waste and unnecessary by-products.

The AM4LA will launch on May 25 at select Consortium dealers and at a SPEEDFACTORY Lab Experience in Santa Monica, California before hitting adidas.com on June 2.

In other Parley x adidas news, the duo’s collaborative UltraBOOST Clima now has an official release date.
