A First Glimpse at the Virgil Abloh x Nike Zoom Fly Mercurial Flyknit
Prepping for this summer’s World Cup.

Designer Virgil Abloh continues to keep busy, balancing his new gig as artistic director of menswear over at Louis Vuitton and keeping the creative juices flowing with his Off-White™ imprint.
With the 2018 FIFA World Cup quickly approaching, Abloh has already taken the drapes off the Nike Mercurial 12 Elite Boot — which went on sale in March — and teased a set of custom Off-White™ x Nike Goalkeeper Mercurial Touch gloves for England stars Joe Hart and Jordan Pickford.
Now it looks like Abloh is continuing his collaboration with Nike Football as we just received a first look at the new Zoom Fly Mercurial Flyknit decked out in the same bold colors of the Mercurial Boot. In the images shared by @atlas1216, we can see the shoe uses the same streamlined body of the Mercurial line, which then sits atop a REACT FOAM base. Signature Off-White™ detailing appears on the medial sides while a “FOAM” motif hits the lateral midsole. The bold look is then finished off with white Swooshes and polka dots on the outer side, while bright blue polka dots take the inner. Along with the orange rendition posted above, the silhouette has also been spotted in a black colorway, which can be seen below.
So far no release date has been set for the Virgil Abloh x Nike Zoom Fly Mercurial Flyknit, but they could most likely drop during the height of World Cup fever. Stay tuned for more details. In the meantime, check out “10 Football Kits That Will Take You From the Streets to the Pitch Part 2.”
