Virgil Abloh x Nike Mercurial 12 Elite Boot Official Images Emerge
“GOAL.”

On the earlier side of February, we shared one of the first looks of Virgil Abloh’s collaborative Nike Mercurial VaporMax Hybrid. This time around, official images emerge of another iteration slated for the soccer pitch. Carrying on the orange aesthetic, Abloh uses the Nike Mercurial 12 Elite model as his canvas to join the hybrid on his forthcoming project with Nike Football.
The kicks’ upper sports a knitted construction that’s complemented by white and blue detailing throughout. Mirroring the same design cues found on the aforementioned hybrid sneaker, you’ll also find the industrial-like labeling from “KNIT” on the lateral side of each heel to the breakdown on each panel’s medial side.
Take a look at the shots above and let us know if you’d hit the soccer pitch in these. You can also find out why Virgil Abloh and Kim Jones view soccer as important in a recent talk.
