Kamaiyah Gets Baptized in New "The Wave" Video

After dropping her Before I Wake mixtape last year, Kamaiyah is back, releasing the visual to “The Wave.” The song is a cut off the aforementioned project and the music video — directed by Damien Sandoval — tells a powerful story. While hanging out with the homies, Kamaiyah chooses to step away from them as they discuss a robbery and instead go to the beach to get baptized. Watch below.

Off Before I Wake, “Playa In Me,” “Dope Bitch,” “Slide” and “The Wave” have all received music videos. Kamaiyah is currently prepping her debut studio album and previously said that she’s also working on a featureless project titled Woke.

This year, she released three new tracks in February.
