To celebrate Super Mario‘s 30th anniversary in 2015, Nintendo and Tokyopop unveiled the Super Mario Encyclopedia, a weighty tome that celebrated every aspect of the plumber’s world over the past three decades. It was never brought stateside, but now, three years later, that will change — Dark Horse has announced that it will finally publish the book in English later this year.

Launched in German and Spanish in late 2017, the Super Mario Encyclopedia had yet to undergo a full English translation until now. Boasting over 250 detailed pages, the book goes in-depth with 17 Mario games — 2017’s Super Mario Odyssey isn’t included because it hadn’t released when the book first debuted in 2015. Other features include game tips, an interview with producer Takashi Tezuka, glitch explanations, map layouts, character and enemy biographies and more.

Standard editions of the Super Mario Encyclopedia are set to drop October 23 — you can already pre-order it over on Amazon’s site for $39.99 USD. For now, take a look inside the German iteration below. Most recently, peripheral developer 8bitdo introduced an adapter that allows gamers to use their PlayStation 4 controllers with Nintendo’s Switch.
