Inspired by Thailand’s conflicting tourism.

Necessity Sense returns with a luxurious and relaxed array of garments for the Spring/Summer 2018 season.

Titled “Pressured Paradise,” the range draws inspiration from the conflicting tourism in Thailand. To the designers, Thailand being a buddhist pilgrimage destination, the contradictory coexistence of religion and sex tourism fuelled a conversation. More precisely, the Taiwan imprint aims to explore “the conflict and dynamics of the dichotomy with the region being a spiritual paradise for some and a sexual paradise for others,” said the brand in a statement.

Standout pieces from the assemblage span short-sleeved blazers with plaid motifs and matching trousers, varsity jackets with regal motifs, cropped sweatshirts in vibrant colors, silk shirting, button-downs with realistic illustrations embellished on the back portions, and wide-legged trousers with embroidered lettering on the side panels.

Take a look at the lookbook above and expect the collection to drop on select Necessity Sense stockists worldwide this March 5.

This past January, Necessity Sense teamed up with Lane Crawford for a special capsule collection titled “Glory Times.”
