KAWS Teases Pink 'BFF' and Custom AJ4 for His Daughter

With one of his Companion toys currently going for $45,000 USD at Paddle8’s street art auction, there’s a lot of reasons to pay attention to KAWS‘s light-hearted figures. Today, he revealed a brand new look for his iconic BFF build, along with an eye-grabbing gift for his daughter from Nike.
Over on his Instagram, KAWS showcased a pair of BFF toys on a table, playfully arranged around a pair of tiny Air Jordan 4 shoes. The pint-sized sneakers are an iteration of the artist’s collaborative Air Jordan 4, which previously was only available in adult variants. KAWS’s daughter’s new kicks aren’t the only item of interest in the photo however, as one of BFF figures is a never-before-seen bubblegum pink shade that matches the miniscule Jordans.
Stay tuned for more news from KAWS regarding the figure’s potential release, although the children’s KAWS x Air Jordan 4 is likely to be a one-off. Most recently, the artist announced two upcoming solo exhibitions in Tokyo and Hong Kong.
