This week’s list of weekly product drops see a large contribution from household Japanese brands like BAPE, nonnative, Cav Empt, and Junya Watanabe; even Kinfolk’s 10th-anniversary capsule enlists Bedwin & the Heartbreakers along with WACKO MARIA. There are two similar themes that stand out in this week’s set of Fall/Winter 2018 releases; this comes in the form of large bold graphics, and oversized outerwear.

Key items this week include the Palace smiley-print denim jacket and pants combo, Supreme’s The North Face collab, Supreme Menace hoodie, SSZ and Cav Emp’s inside-out crewneck, BAPE’s Los Angeles Lakers NBA jersey, and Supreme’s homey PVC inflatable chair.

Palace Autumn 2018 Collection Drop 10

Palace releases its 10th drop this Friday for Fall/Winter 2018. This week sees one of the most colorful sets of offerings from the brand, spanning from multi-color camo prints, cotton candy-like crewneck sweatshirts, down to the pastel tees. While skate apparel staples like the hoodie and long sleeve make up the majority of softgoods, there is also a set of unique Oakley sunglasses that are sure to sit well with Palace fans.

BAPE has teamed up with sportswear giant Mitchell & Ness for an NBA collection just in time for the basketball season. The collaboration nods to championship teams including the LakersWarriorsCeltics, BullsCavsKnicks, Blazers and Rockets via team colors. Pieces include the Swingman jerseys, shorts and T-shirts, featuring BAPE’s famous camo print and ape head insignia, as well as special edition jerseys and custom warm-up jacket for the Lakers and Warriors. Rounding out the release is a co-branded Spalding basketball emblazoned with the BAPE camo print. The collection has already dropped at BAPE’s Los Angeles store and is slated for a second, wider release this week.

Junya Watanabe x Canada Goose FW18 Jackets

Continuing its series of outerwear collaborations, Junya Watanabe recently teamed up with cold weather gear specialist Canada Goose on a set of functional Fall/Winter 2018 jackets. In typical Junya fashion, the collab sees the Japanese label rework the outerwear label’s proprietary silhouettes with relaxed cuts and subtle accenting. The collection is centered around functional detailing, as reflective and high-visibility stripes decorate the hems and waist regions. Notable pieces include the loose fit take on Canada Goose’s signature Hooded Coat, the thick Down Double Layer Jacket and the police enforcement-inspired Down Reflective Parka.

While there are some pretty interesting pieces dropping from Supreme’s Fall/Winter 2018 mainline, the New York imprint takes us by surprise by releasing another series of The North Face parkas, but this time all made in lambskin leather. The Playboy x Supreme tee, Menace hoodie, and reversible NY puffy jacket all make for solid releases, but the list of TNF items are sure to steal the spotlight this coming Thursday.
