Dave Bautista Wants to Join James Gunn for 'Suicide Squad 2'
“Where do I sign up!”

Dave Bautista, A.K.A. Drax the Destroyer from Marvel‘s Guardian of the Galaxy franchise, has been very vocal about director James Gunn‘s firing by Disney. Now that James is jumping ship over to DC Comics and Warner Bros. to write and possibly direct the upcoming Suicide Squad film, Bautista wants in.
The entire cast released a statement in support of Gunn following his firing for his offensive tweets that resurfaced from years ago, with Bautista being the most outraged. He has stated he finds it “nauseating” to work for the Disney now, and has even threatened to quit if Gunn’s script for Guards of the Galaxy 3 isn’t used. His tweet below about the new Suicide Squad 2 news implies that he wants to ditch the MCU in place for its competition.
