Dave Chappelle Wins First Emmy for His 'SNL' Trump Monologue
He did say, “America’s done it. We’ve actually elected an Internet troll as our president.”
Dave Chappelle just brought home his first Emmy – the renowned comedian nabbed the Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series award. That guest appearance was considered by many as, “one of the greatest SNL monologues of all time.” In that popular show intro, Chappelle urged the public to give the newly elected President Trump a chance.
Mr. Chappelle also stated in the monologue that “America’s done it. We’ve actually elected an Internet troll as our president.” Since the famous rant, Chappelle has also released his Netflix specials as well as performed a series of shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York. It’s been a busy year for Chappelle and we’re sure his momentum will continue.
