Nike's Classic Cortez & Air Force 1 Will Also Celebrate Latin Heritage Month
The tradition continues.
Following the special Nike Air Max 1 “Los Primeros” in celebration of Latin Heritage month, the Swoosh will also add special editions of the Air Force 1 and Classic Cortez. For the Air Force 1, the talents of young street artist Saner who uses the inspiration of pre-Hispanic cultures throughout the sneaker. This results in the placement of jaguar print along the heel and toe paneling of the model, reflecting in the animal’s mystic aura and power to survive.
On the Classic Cortez silhouette, you’ll find various symbols of Latin American cultures on its canvas upper, courtesy of Chilean artist, INTI. Some shades of purple are found along these insignias as its complemented by black on the sole unit, laces and inner lining.
The Nike Classic Cortez x INTI ”One Heart” retails for $100 USD and is slated to drop on September 22 via Nike SNKRS. Nike’s Air Force 1 LHM “Saner” will be priced at $150 and is expected to drop on October 1 via Nike SNKRS as well.
