Instagram has played a crucial role in breaking down the walled garden of the fashion world; no one is more familiar with this than OFF-WHITE designer Virgil Abloh. It makes sense, then, that Abloh has taken to his Instagram to share behind-the-scenes footage of his upcoming 2018 spring/summer collection, titled “Temperature.” In addition to extensive collaborations with conceptual artist Jenny Holzer, Abloh also took the opportunity to show his fans and followers upcoming sneaker silhouettes, the “Off-Court 1s” and “Off-Court 2’s.” The silhouettes appear to be available in black-and-white, blue-and-white, and tonal colorways. Much like Abloh’s Air Jordan 1, quote-unquote details abound, including “SAMPLE” emblazoned on the lateral flaps and OFF-WHITE owner’s labels on the exterior of the tongue and lace-stays.
Take a closer look at the sneakers above and look for the shoes to make a formal debut at Pitti Uomo on June 15. For more, be sure to read up on why the point of OFF-WHITE isn’t to buy OFF-WHITE.
