adidas Is Bringing Back the Iconic BW Army
adi resurrects an oft-imitated classic.

Originally released back in the ’70s, the German army trainer — specially issued to German troops — has long been imitated by the high fashion world (by Maison Margiela and its low-top Replica, most notably), but adidas has finally dipped into its archives to resurrect the original. That’s right, Three Stripes fans: the BW Army is back. Crafted here in white and black colorways, the kicks largely stay true to the look of the OG and couple a predominately leather upper with a suede toe overlay and gum rubber sole unit. Here, branding is kept to a minimum, gracing the midsole and appearing in monochromatic form on the tongue.
Clean, classic and affordable, adi’s BW Army officially drops on June 16 at END. and other Originals stockists.
