Converse and Coca-Cola are continuing their partnership for a new Chuck collection, focusing on themes of love, creativity, and joyful connection. This collaboration marks their reunion from their previous three-way collection, which ran from 2017 to 2020 with Kith.
The collection features a pair of red leather Chuck 70 and four pairs of canvas Chuck Taylor All Stars in red, black, grey, and white, respectively. The red pair of Chuck 70 will be the first to launch. It comes in a red leather upper, strikingly divided by an extra piece of leather that forms Coca-Cola’s script logo, extending from the spine and wrapping around the bottom two eyelets. The outsoles pay homage to the pale green, semi-translucent hue of original Coca-Cola glass bottles. A unique detail is the insole, which is printed with refreshing cola soda graphics. Branded circles on the medial sides are inspired by bottle caps, acting as a playful touch.
A highlight of this collaboration is the emphasis on personalization, reminiscent of Coca-Cola’s popular customization campaigns. Consumers can write their names on the insoles and inner tongue, making each sneaker one-of-a-kind for its owner.
