Original Story: New York-based multi-hyphenate Action Bronson and New Balance have been on a hot streak since first teaming up in 2023. The two most recently dropped a collaborative performance collection in October and are gearing up to return to the 990v6 for 2025. Their partnership began two years ago with a bold arrangement featuring the sneaker and they went on to release a “Lapis Lazuli” pair later that year, as well as teased a yellow and gray iteration that has yet to resurface.
Now, after a teaser of a “Hi-Pink” pair was shared previously, we have our best look yet at a brown, pink and blue iteration that made an appearance in Bronson’s recent BAKLAVA lookbook. Dubbed the “Amazõnia” colorway, this striking take on the sneaker begins with a brown suede mudguard. From there, its layered upper combines royal blue with neon pink while also featuring touches of seafoam green, silver and orange. Per usual, “baklava” branding appears at the tongue while the plush midsole features a mix of gray, taupe and off-white.
At the time of writing, neither Action Bronson nor New Balance have confirmed when this “Amazõnia” colorway of the 990v6 will be dropping. Stay tuned for updates, including a complete look at the shoe, as we currently expect it to drop sometime in the next few months via New Balance around the $220 USD price point of its predecessors.
