Santo Studio Opens Its First Performance Training Facility
The Santo Performance Studio is an establishment for training, recovery and community-building, located in the heart of Newport Beach.
Santo Studio is mostly known for its wide variety of lifestyle and performance apparel offerings — ranging from Ryan Sheckler-endorsed sneakers to technical workout gear and made-in-Italy leather jackets — but the design studio’s latest effort is a physical space: the Santo Performance Studio. Located in Santo Studio’s home base of Newport Beach, California, the Santo Performance Studio is a 15,000 square foot space that offers high-level instruction in boxing and ju-jitsu, provided by coaches including ju-jitsu expert Bernardo Tavolaro and boxing whiz Yogy as well as a physical therapy program with on-site doctors for active recovery.
The Santo Performance Studio is used for training by MMA champions like Marlon “Chito” Vera, Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, and Luke Rockhold, as well as action sports icons, including the aforementioned Sheckler, surfer Cole Houshmand and motocross athlete Jeremy “Twitch” Steinberg, but it’s not limited to the elite. Weekend warriors are welcomed for recovery, boxing and ju-jitsu classes and much more. The space also has a media partnership with jewelry brand JAXXON, enabling it to launch a Behind the Brand show on YouTube that spotlights both the wellness spaces offered in the facility and the hardcore training routines of the entire Santo Studio team.
