KITH's Marvel Product Universe Drops This Week
Celebrating the legendary comic book publisher’s 85th anniversary with apparel, an ASICS collaboration, Modernica chair and more.
Back in July, Ronnie Fieg revealed that KITH would be teaming up with Marvel once again, revealing five collaborative ASICS styles based on iconic Marvel characters. From there, the duo dropped the first part of their 2024 project, releasing six colorways of an Infinity Gauntlet-themed varsity jacket alongside a special Infinity Gauntlet Paperweight as part of KITH’s Monday Program. Now, the entirety of the KITH x Marvel 85th Anniversary Collection has been unveiled ahead of its release later this week.
On the apparel side, there’s no shortage of summer-ready options as a myriad of thematic tees ranging from KITH’s classic logo designs to special graphics are joined by character caps. However, that’s not all that KITH has in store for fans — additional standouts include knitwear and pullovers that channel Marvel’s distinct visuals.
In classic KITH fashion, the brand has teamed up with a range of collaborators to produce accessories and footwear too. On the sneaker side, which we covered previously, the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14, GT-2160 and GEL-1130, have been dedicated to the Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Venom, Green Goblin and Magneto. Each pair comes equipped with not only a thematic exterior, but an interior that sees its corresponding character artwork laid across the sockliner. The Spider-Man and Venom ASICS GT-2160s will be made available as a package deal, whereas the others are sold individually. Another comic book has been assembled by KITH and Marvel, with copies of various rarities distributed to purchasers of the kicks. Some of these copies will also be graded by PSA, which has only recently announced it will be grading comics in the future, making this the first opportunity to own a PSA-graded comic.
Elsewhere, Modernica was tapped to produce a special rendition of its Fiberglass Shell Chair. This collector’s piece is covered in archival Marvel artwork and dons a co-branded “KITH Universe” logo and KITH Home plaque beneath it. Rounding things out, KITH and Marvel also teamed up with Haydenshapes to assemble a Silver Surfer-inspired surfboard.
Release for the entirety of the KITH x Marvel 85th Anniversary Collection is set to take place on August 9 via KITH storefronts worldwide.
