Rolls-Royce Unveils One-of-a-Kind Spectre Lunaflair

Rolls-Royce has unveiled the one-of-a-kind Spectre Lunaflair, a mesmerizing Bespoke commission for a notable yet undisclosed U.S. client. The vehicle draws inspiration from the beauty of a lunar halo, an optical phenomenon where light refracts through ice crystals, creating a rainbow-like ring around the moon. Rolls-Royce has captured this celestial wonder through a complex holographic paint finish, delivering a captivating technicolor effect.
The development of the unique Lunaflair paint was a year-long process, requiring meticulous experimentation with paint chemistry, application timings and base coats. The final result features seven layers of lacquer, including a pearlescent coat infused with magnesium fluoride and aluminum flakes.
Notably, the idea for Spectre Lunaflair emerged from a previous Rolls-Royce creation, the Phantom Syntopia. Inspired by its iridescent Liquid Noir finish, the commissioning client sought a lighter, more luminous expression, leading to the birth of the Lunaflair concept. Inside, the Spectre Lunaflair mirrors the lunar halo theme with a custom interior featuring Navy Blue, White and Peony Pink accents. These colors adorn the seats, doors and the signature Starlight Headliner. The design extends to the dual-tone steering wheel, with Navy Blue on the outside and Arctic White on the inside.
As a testament to its exclusivity, only one Spectre Lunaflair will ever be produced, making it a true masterpiece reserved solely for its commissioning client.
