A 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss, the final model produced, is set to be auctioned by Bonhams Cars. This rare and highly coveted vehicle, number 75 of 75, is a tribute to racing legend Sir Stirling Moss and Mercedes’ iconic 1950s 300 SLR race car.
Powered by a 5.4L supercharged V8 engine delivering 650 hp, this speedster can reach a top speed of 220 mph and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. Its striking design, including its unique roofless body, was crafted by Yoon Il-Un, now a VP of Design at Genesis. With no roof, windshield, or side windows, the SLR Stirling Moss is built for pure driving enthusiasts.
This particular example boasts a special red paint finish, gold-painted brake calipers and a red leather “Silver Arrow” interior with yellow stitching. It has only had one owner since new, a VIP Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin client and has accumulated just 50 kilometers on the odometer.
The vehicle was recently recommissioned by Stratton Motor Company and comes with its original documentation, including a duplicate Swiss registration and a Mercedes-Benz Certificate of Conformity. Its arrival at auction represents a rare opportunity for collectors to acquire the ultimate expression of the SLR McLaren, blending performance, exclusivity and motorsport heritage into one extraordinary machine.
