RIMOWA has officially announced its most recent collaboration with fashion’s most coveted BMX athlete, Nigel Sylvester. The luxury travel accessories brand has teamed up with the professional athlete for a one-of-a-kind and first-ever RIMOWA Bike Case.

The RIMOWA Bike Case is a custom conceptual piece, designed to ensure that contemporary travel is the go-to solution for the multi-hyphenate athlete. With the growing popularity of the BMX sport, RIMOWA has tapped Sylvester and his expertise to create a BMX travel essential that is design-focused for the riders. Understanding that there is currently a gap in the industry for providing a contemporary and sleek solution for riders, RIMOWA is hoping to expand its breadth of products with the first-ever bike case.

The case is crafted with RIMOWA’s Classic line design language that features durable and recognizable grooved aluminum. The case is shaped to fit the BMX bike and also offers optimum protection during transport. It is constructed with a hinged door, for easy access, as well as webbed traps emblazed with RIMOWA’s coordinates to secure the bike inside. A small aluminum toolbox is also included inside. RIMOWA’s classic leather handle can be seen on the exterior for easy carrying during travel. Co-designing the case, Sylvester said, “Their belief in me to create something so revolutionary is embedded in the design details throughout the case. I enjoyed the process, and I believe that what we created will open the eyes of many and spark imaginations around the globe. As a BMX rider, our options are limited, and I know this moment will send waves across the industry. RIMOWA has officially put its stamp on the sport of BMX, and I applaud RIMOWA’s progressive approach to storytelling and world-class product design.”
